Jane Coyle
Director

Jane Coyle is an award-winning writer, arts journalist and critic, who has worked across print & broadcast media platforms in the UK, Ireland and Europe.  

A French speaker, she studied at the Sorbonne in Paris and is a graduate of the University of Leicester. She began her career at Faber & Faber in London

She is a critic and feature writer for The Stage and The Irish Times and a judging panel member for the UK Theatre Awards.. She set up and ran the film & drama development unit of Waddell Media, where she worked in production for almost 20 years.

Jane has written three feature-length screenplays and five stage plays. She is co-librettist for the opera adaptation of her play The Suitcase.

She has taught at Queen’s University Belfast and regularly takes workshops on review writing.

A former vice-chair of the Riverside Theatre, Coleraine, co-founder/former board member of Replay Productions, former board member of the Crescent Arts Centre and, for nine years, chair of DU Dance (NI).  

Jane is the lead partner on the artistic development of Powerstone’s slate.

Randall Shannon
Director

Randall Shannon is the executive director of Wexford Festival Opera.

He began his career as an orchestral musician based in London and spent ten years with orchestras in the UK and in the Netherlands. 

He has held management and chief executive positions with Opera 80, the Irish Chamber Orchestra, Opera Theatre Company (of which he was a co-founder), Opera Northern Ireland, Buxton International Festival and Wexford Festival Opera.

In recent years, Randall has worked as an independent arts manager, consultant and producer, involved in music, opera, as well as film and television production in the UK, Ireland and in Vienna.

From 2007 to 2020, he was opera advisor to the Arts Council of Ireland.

An experienced and widely respected arts administrator, producer and manager, Randall is responsible for Powerstone’s business, contractual and financial operations.

Brian Kelly

Brian Kelly is an award-winning producer, director and writer. 

As director and co-writer, he helmed two US-backed family feature films, which received international screening and distribution.

As an independent television producer he produced several seasons of comedy dramas, most notably Killinaskully for RTÉ, plus factual entertainment series for Virgin Media. He also commissioned, produced and directed a season of original radio dramas. With Jane Coyle, he co-wrote two feature length screenplays for Powerstone’s film slate.

He has a Masters degree in screenwriting from Ireland’s National Film School and a post-graduate qualification in creative design thinking & entrepreneurship from the Innovation Academy at University College Dublin.

In 2020, he spent a year in Japan on a teaching assignment. On his return from Japan, he was appointed Creative Heartlands Film Manager, supporting, developing and enabling opportunities and initiatives for the film, television and screen sector in the region of Leitrim, Sligo and Roscommon.

He regularly works as a freelance media production consultant, documentary maker and educator.
